Music has been my life since the early seventies, my father owned the only record shop in the area in those days,where I worked after school and at weekends, selling vinyl to anybody who wanted to buy it, and to DJ's. Some would come for miles, there were no huge record stores in those days and we stocked as much as we could from every label, if we didnt have it, we would order it.

 Other times were spent chatting to Record Label Reps, who always brought me the latest 45rpm  floppy samples just to see the huge grin on my face, or visiting recording studios and record labels with my father, I still remember how he sat in awe and speechless in the canteen at EMI  when somebody 'important' came over to borrow his teaspoon, and I just piped up and said hello, not having a clue who I was talking to then .

On top of that, my father also managed a rock band, who rehearsed in our living room two nights a week, utter joy, and as soon as I left school I went on to doing Discos for a local youthclub, the family business as it was, sourcing the latest music was easy.

My father then left the shop to the rest of us to run, and was a Record Company Rep for various big labels, travelling the country and  becoming further involved in the industry.

I was one very lucky teenager who had such a fantastic introduction into the music world, and this has never gone away, I have been doing  internet radio for almost 8 years now on various stations, and  am constantly looking for new music, its an obsession, and if it rocks, it gets played!
