ARfm - Our Presenters - Midweek RockShow Times: Wednesday 19:00 - 21:00 Every Wednesday 7pm - 9pm First discovered proper music [Rock] at school when someone played me the first Led Zeppelin album, I was blown away. Played around with mobile disco’s in the 70’s then was asked to join my local Hospital Radio Station in Kings Lynn where I learnt the basics of radio, not much chance to play rock music but was good to develop presentation skills. Joined a new station in Littleport Cambs called X-Cel FM, did a few R.S.L’s then we got a full time local radio licence. This was a great station where I did the Friday Rock show for a few years until the station was assimilated by the Borg. By then I had already joined Radio Caroline doing regular shows, and after the boss found out that I was a Carpenter by trade, was press ganged onto the crew as ship’s carpenter, which I still do to this day. Like most good radio these days it’s all voluntary. It was through my work with Radio Caroline that I was asked to join the Hastings Rock crew broadcasting every May for just 30 days but a most enjoyable 30 days of Rock music. Up until early this year I was doing a regular show on a community station in Spalding Lincs [Tulip Radio] During this year’s broadcast at Hastings Rock I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Price who very kindly asked me if I would like to do some shows for ARFM, it took me about a nano second to decide, having listened to ARFM I was honoured to be asked and here we are in 2012 presenting Midweek Rock on Wednesdays at 9pm, from “somewhere in East Anglia”.
