ARfm - Our Presenters - The Progressive Rock Garden

The Progressive Rock Garden -  Show times Sunday - 14.00-16.00

It's the science fiction of music, but its still rock n' roll.

My love of prog rock started in the 70s when I was very young and used to sneak into Hastings Pier Concerts to see legendary bands such as Genesis, Wally, England, Stray, Strawbs, Supertramp, Be Bop deluxe and many many more. I took up the guitar at the same time and played in progressive rock bands in years gone by including one that featured my dearest lifelong friend Roger Carey (Who now plays bass for Steeleye Span). I still play lead guitar and am now involved with a project with some wonderful musicians who between us are writing some melodic progressive rock tunes for an album.

I have presented rock shows on a number of radio stations including Planet Rock, Hastings Rock Radio FM, Carnival FM Radio, Slammintunes radio. I am so delighted to be back to my roots of prog rock presenting on ARfm. I simply adore Progressive Rock Music. I like football, speedway, darts and local history (East Sussex, The Romney Marsh, Local Railway history), Love Hastings, Love the Sea, Love the Countryside, Love my friends..... love nice people! I am also a Gricer! Yeah.....look it up! Its all about railways.

Oh, and I have a famous cousin who goes by the name of Elton John, he is meant to be quite a good singer and composer.

Do join me on Sunday afternoons for a trip though progressive rock both old and new. There will always be some old prog rock in there as well as new, and always like to include my album of the week, which would normally be a new release.
